Model Settings
- WRF v3.0.1
- Two dimensional (x-z)
- 400 km x 20 km
- 24 hours, from 06 UTC to 06 UTC
- No coriolis
- WRF single moment 3-class microphysics scheme, Dudhia and RRTM radiation schemes, Noah land-surface model, MM5/YSU surface-layer/PBL combination for vertical diffusion, and a two-dimensional Smagorinsky closure for horizontal diffusion.
- Initially, the ocean surface temperature was +7K larger than that of the land surface temperature.
- Varied grid spacing and horizontal extent of land
